I am so delighted to announce that I will be featuring on a documentary on More4 with previous Strictly Come Dancing judge and world famous ballerina, Darcey Bussell!!
The documentary explores Darcey’s traditional island roots and follows her journey across various islands on the west coast of Scotland. I was beyond honoured to share my story and am feeling so fortunate to have met Darcey and the amazing team, (True North) behind this documentary.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I care about my culture and community so this was a truly rewarding experience for me to be a part of. Please watch the documentary on More4 on Monday 8th February at 9pm. The episode I will feature on will be on Monday 15th at 9pm.
Thank you to those of you in the community who agreed to be involved also, Anna-Wendy Stevenson, course leader of BA Applied Music UHI, Alex MacDonald, Julia MacIsaac & dancers andClasaichean le Chloe!

Thank you to everyone who tuned into last night’s live gig - I had such a lovely evening. A huge thank you to UHI and their sponsors for inviting me along, it’s really great for musicians to have support like this during these very strange, difficult and uncertain times.
Once again, thank you all for your lovely comments and kind messages! If you’d like to watch the gig again, head over to the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Facebook page. Mòran taing dhuibh uile!
Even though today is Halloween I’ve spent my afternoon filming with the wonderful
TrixPix Ltd for something extra Christmassy keep your eyes peeled...
Thinking of my lovely Uist community just now more than ever with the recent outbreak of COVID-19. Such scary, scary times for our small, close knit community, please take care and stay safe!
SUNDAY MAIL YOUNG SCOT AWARDS
I am so beyond honoured and delighted to say that I have been nominated for the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards. While I didn’t make it to the finals, it is a pure honour to even be nominated. My name was put forward by MSP Alasdair Allan in the Art Awards section, which for me really is such an unbelievable opportunity. Thank you to everyone and congratulations to all the nominees and finalists.

Tonight should have been my final honours recital performance on the stage in An Lanntair, Stornoway. While I am gutted not to be there tonight, I will never forget and will forever be thankful for the opportunities studying on this course has offered me and the places these opportunities have taken me. I would like to say a special thank you to Simon and Anna-Wendy who are the kindest and most dedicated people imaginable, I am so incredibly grateful for their support over the years. I am also feeling very grateful to have met my absolute best friends for life during my studies - Eilidh Grant Leslie, Kirstie McLanaghan and Karen Brown, I am so lucky to have you all in my life and thank you for being there during the ups and downs - here's to many more with you all and to the next chapter...
So so happy to say that I am this year's winner of the Flora MacDonald Piping Competition. Such a great night had by all and safe to say my Granny is chuffed to bits! :)
I had an absolutely amazing time performing at the Opening Concert of Celtic Connections 2019 last night. It was also amazing to be sharing the stage alongside some fellow Uibhistich, Padruig Morrison and the incredible, Julie Fowlis! Definitely a night to remember! Thank you also to my lovely family who were able to make it along! :)
